Products

The current VAD product direction centers on a high-speed variant platform designed around compact power delivery, GPS-assisted retrieval, carbon fiber structural support, and future payload and AI integration.

VAD 1: High-Speed Variant

A concept platform focused on high-speed operation, modular component selection, and an upgrade path toward thermal, fiber optic, payload, and AI-enabled systems.

  • Average speed target: 120 kph / 100 mph
  • 8S battery-based power system
  • Integrated GPS for post-operation retrieval
  • Printed ABS shell with carbon fiber structure
  • Future-ready internal architecture

Primary Components

  • Hummingbird 305 8S 80A motor controller / flight stack
  • HGLRC 100 Mini GPS
  • HQProp 5.3x2x8R propeller blades
  • 8S 1300mAh batteries
  • Brushless 2312 competition motors

Manufacturing and Assembly

The current concept uses a hybrid structure to keep the frame lightweight while retaining rigidity and manufacturability.

Shell Body

ABS plastic shell body produced via 3D printing and assembled using M3 fasteners.

Internal Structure

Carbon fiber structural components milled separately and fixed into the main clamshell body using M3 screws.

Estimated Cost

Current deck pricing identifies two reference unit-cost figures depending on whether the controller and headset are included.

Unit cost with controller$1027.41
Unit cost without controller / headset$741.43

Cost Structure Notes

The current bill of materials includes the video system, batteries, propellers, flight stack, capacitors, motors, GPS, radio, goggles, and custom carbon fiber plates.
